Remembrance Day is a day for all to give thanks and remember the men and women who served and sacrificed for our country and the ones that still do!

Another great month for the Ottawa Real Estate Resale market based on the numbers for October 2017.

Some key points to take from the numbers is the following:

"Steady September contributes to strong third quarter for 2017"

September 2017 was a good month overall for Ottawa Real Estate! The number of units sold increased by 1.6% in comparison to September 2016, with average prices also increasing by 8.6%. 

The main reason for the price increase is due to the low supply of available homes, which leads to a lot more bidding wars on properties. The areas of the city seeing this trend are in the West and South, with some other pocket areas throughout.

"Condo sales drive the Ottawa resale market in July"

It was a strong market for Ottawa for the first half of 2017 and you can see the Ottawa Real Estate Board Article below:

"Members of the Ottawa Real Estate Board sold 2,162 residential properties in June through the Board’s Multiple Listing Service® System, compared with 1,985 in June 2016, an increase of 8.9 per cent. The five-year average for June sales is 1,818.
