Checkout How Ottawa is slowly growing into an amazing Eco Friendly City!

Ontario makes building code changes to help make it easier to charge your Electric car in Residential and workplace buildings

As of January 1st, 2019 the new Ontario Building Code rules take effect which basically makes it mandatory for New Homes and Buildings (with some exceptions) to be installed with Electrical charging station as part of Ontario’s Climate Change Action Plan. For more information visit:  https://www.ontario.ca/page/climate-change-action-plan

I think this is a great step for Ontario and especially Ottawa to help drive people into purchasing electric cars and overall helping with Carbon Emissions as a whole.

As Ottawa gets ready for the launch of the first stage of Light rail project which expands throughout downtown Ottawa we will start to see the benefits of this project not only on our streets with less cars but less pollutants caused by cars. Becoming more environmentally friendly is an amazing step forward for all of us and future generations. We will begin to see less cars on the road and eventually hopefully the cars we do see on the road will be electric ones….The future Ottawa is looking green but this will take some time to get there.  Check out the map of the stage 2 which is going to change how Ottawa Commutes around the city and will change how people  buy homes as it spans the West, East and South of the City. https://www.stage2lrt.ca/

At the moment I am working with a premiere Custom Home Builder in Ottawa(Ottawa General Contractors)..... https://ottawageneralcontractors.com/infill-home-construction/) for a New Built Home they are building in Westboro for our clients. This home has the Electrical charging station inside the garage and will also be very close to the Westboro Station making it a state of the art ecofriendly home. This home is being built with stunning finishes and great attention to detail as the finishes are chosen by Ottawa General Contractors Interior Design team. They also have an awesome office on Merivale with a design center to help clients choose the finishes they want in their new home. It is great to see a local company such as OGC be up-to date with all the latest rules and ecofriendly ways to build a home and save energy for the consumer and help the environment. This company did one of the first ever coach houses here in Ottawa and are a full Tarion Warranty Builder

The project is almost at the finish line with a few more months left to completion but is available for purchase right now and hopefully move-in by February/March 2019. You can view more details of the project below and if you would like a walkthrough of the home we would be more than happy to accommodate.

Check out the link below for video of the project when it started and keep an eye out for finished product pictures coming in next month or two:

If you would like more info or a walk through of this project in the popular neighborhood of Westboro then please let me know. You can call me at 613-262-9562 or email at sorin@capitalrealestate.ca

The city of Ottawa is changing and I do feel we are moving into the right direction but at a very slow pace but still overall this is great news for our city and our future generations who will be in this city. The more investors, developers, politicians and consumers push for a better policies and changes to make the environment better the quicker we can get there.

As a resident, Investor and small business owner I am excited to be part of the change

Everyone is looking for

Everyone is looking for eco-friendly solutions these days, either for a home or like in this case, for a city. Shifting to electric cars sounds like a great idea, but it would surely take some time until that will be a new reality. In the meantime, the jeep accessories and other necessary equipment will still be highly demanded. Lots of people depend on their personal cars, so they must maintain them in perfect shape.
